100 Hangouts On Air

Google+ is doing a brazilian edition of 100 Hangouts On Air, consisting of a whole day of special Google+ Hangouts – from live DJ sets to a number of different roundtables. São Paulo’s rock and roll institution Galeria do Rock is hosting one of the Hangouts and they invited me to join Igor Cavalera (Sepultura/Mixhell), Felipe Andreoli (Angra/Almah) and Paulão (Velhas Virgens) to chat about the current state of rock and roll. Join us at 3pm (Brasilia time zone) at the event’s website.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the release of Wilco’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, the brazilian website Rock’n'Beats invited eleven different artists to contribute with videos inspired by the songs on the album. Me and Clarissa de Oliveira choose “Poor Places” and you can watch our little homage below. Check out the other 10 videos.

Oi Novo Som apresenta

Driving Music will be performing live at Oi Novo Som studios in a live webcast, at 8pm (Brasilia time zone – for your time zone, check this out). We’ll be there for an hour, playing songs, being interviewed and hopefully having a great time. But that’s in two weeks. For now, the kind folks at Oi Novo Som have made a podcast entirely dedicated to Driving Music, with some of our songs and information about the band. We’ll be back with more info about the show soon as well as more news.

Scream and Yell interview

The great Scream and Yell has published a lengthy interview with me, talking about all sorts of things, from singing in english to baking bread and the current state of Rio. The one and a half hour conversation remains in portuguese in written form, but foreign readers are more than welcome to try their luck with an online translator. If the final result is an overdose of nonsensical blabber, the translator probably did a wonderful job. Just click the picture above to be taken right to the interview.

Comando Legal

Driving Music was featured on the latest installment of Comando Legal, one of the coolest podcasts in Brazil. We’re featured along with Ghost Mutt, Slick Rick, Kate Bush and Gal Costa. A very fun way to spend one and a half hour to those who understand portuguese, and probably even funnier one to those who don’t. Check it out.
